Two structures planned as part of Highway 17 Wildlife and Trail Crossing Project in the Santa Cruz Mountains will restore safe passage for people and wildlife. North of the Lexington Reservoir, an undercrossing and associated fencing will guide wildlife, like mountain lions, and deer to cross under this busy roadway, while an overpass will allow people hiking, biking, and horseback riding to get across the road safely.
