A planned wildlife overcrossing on Highway 101 near San Juan Bautista will restore connectivity at an identified hotspot for animal-vehicle collisions and a known wildlife movement barrier priority identified by state agencies. Animals struck by vehicles in this area include mountain lions, deer, coyote, and bobcats.
